What topics do you want to see from us?

For 1 bonus entry in our liver-friendly cooking giveaway, let us know which NASH-related topics or questions you're interested in learning more about below!

  1. I’d like to learn more about the genetic links with NASH as well as what medications and/do contribute to NASH.

    1. Thanks so much for sharing! I wanted to pass along a few links that may have some helpful info for you. Here is an article on the causes and risk factors for NASH that includes some info on genetics. We also have a treatment page, linked here, with more info on how NASH is treated and different medications. I hope this helps! -Alexa (team member)

  2. I’ve been told I had a fatty liver for years, but never told what to do or what could happen. I’ve got every indicator like overweight, diabetes, hypertension, over 65, etc. Now, I’m told of suspicions of malignancy and carcinoma. Did I pass by the whole NASH deal?

    1. I was also told that my liver isn't moving and I've had a biopsy. There's something attached to my liver from intestine that isn't working. I'm pretty scared. I see a gastro that told me I might have to get a stomach gastro bypass. And I needed to take segmalutide to throw up and poop. Well it gave massive diarrhea for 3 months and having to wear depends

    2. This sounds so scary. I am so sorry you are facing this right now. What I have done in my own journey will end stage liver disease was to every morning sit down and journal my thoughts and my feelings. This allowed me time to cry it out and release my fears. (Oh yes, I got angry a lot as well.) Then at the very end of my page... I would write one thing down I was thankful for. And to be honest, my first entry was a cup of coffee. As silly as it sounds each day, I gained my power over my body and all I was going through. My outlook began to change, and little by little I my rough days were not so bad anymore. My heart goes out to you during this time as I can feel your worry and frustration with it all. My thoughts and well wishes are with you. "Not without a FIGHT!" (My mom's last words to me and my foundations motto that I got copy written.)
