Transplants

My husband has stage 4 MASH. His liver doctor told us that without a transplant, he may have a year. His MELD scores were a 15. We were referred to Lincoln Nebraska University Medical Center in Omaha. We did three days on intensive classes and testing. The staff there were so kind and compassionate.e. On the final day, we were told that we were not sick enough and that his MELD score had gone down to a 12. His liver doctor there said I have seen patients live for years with that score. If things get worse, come back; otherwise, we will see you again next February. In a way we were a bit relieved, so now we just try to enjoy the time we have together and try to move forward till then.
