Has anyone on here or have you ever heard of anyone being treated for Liver Disease with these Cholesterol lowering drugs. Even though my Cholesterol levels are all normal, I was taking a Statin now I'm switching to Praulent, just curious.
Yes, I talked with my Hepatologist and they told me that Repatha and Praulent were safer options than Statins. Both are expensive it was an ordeal getting approval from Insurance.
I am glad you replied, everyone i had talked with has never heard of this being a treatment for Liver disease. Statins are allegedly not great when you have advanced Cirrhosis. The Biologics are allegedly safer.

Hi statins can be used in the treatment of NASH. This article goes over some of the more common treatment options for NASH https://nashdisease.net/medications. I hope this is helpful. All my best, Julie (team member)
