Navigating shame and stigma

Liver disease can come with a lot of stigma, and the judgment from loved ones, doctors, and others can take a toll.

Did you experience any feelings of shame around your NASH/MASH diagnosis? How do you navigate those feelings and the stigma that comes with a liver disease diagnosis? This is a safe space to share and connect.

  1. Was humiliating. Explaining not drinking and new diets to friends and acquaintances was embarrassing and I felt judged I am at a normal weight so I felt eyes on me. Now I know a lot of people just like me and when people try and break my resolve I stand firm. This is MY life choice. I’m doing this for me and my family
