  1. remembering to drink more water! Remember to stay further away from sugar in foods! Appreciating ALL I have now


    1. ... BUT... why were we never told this? Why were we told NOTHING!! at all. I've been studying on my own for 1.5 yrs. now. Sigh.. My tall slender bro. died yrs. ago from liver problems (non alcoholic..).. yrs yrs ago I was sent to a liver specialist.. never to see him again (I always go back if told to). Why do I gotta google for 1.5 yrs. to find out what is going on? Sad. sad times for adults. Sad time for families of people who have liver symptoms, or challenges in the family...

  2. The suggested items were always part of my dietary regimen before NASH. However, I was told to stop milk thistle - despite being suggested for liver health by many, my specialist said it was making my condition worse. This has always confused me. I had cut out alcohol but was encouraged to go back to enjoying my nightly 3 oz of red wine. I do feel much better with those changes and the liver has improved. Glad the writer has found what works for her.

  3. Gave up alcohol, sugar, fatty foods, starting eating more fruit and veggies. Met with a nutritionist to help me know what my options are as far as food and snacks.

  4. Limit processed foods
