Have NAFLD, Nash, and autoimmune hepatitis, is there any difference in what I should I do??

I never see anything on autoimmune hepatitis. I have done steroids and immunosuppressants. Is that enough to suppress the other two (NAFLD and NASH) . Currently under the care of the hepatalogist/endrocrinaligist from Henry Ford Hospital Liver transplant team ( not needing a transplant because my labs are all coming up good) but wondering what I can do to be more proactive in my care

  1. Thanks Julie

    1. I apologize for the late reply. It sounds like you’ve got a good team directing your care! In addition to medications, there are lifestyle choices and managing other comorbidities that can proactively help with NASH and NAFLD that you can read more about in this article https://nashdisease.net/treatment. I couldn’t find anything specifically related to autoimmune hepatitis, but I hope this is still helpful! It’s also important to discuss any changes with your team of doctors managing your care.
I hope you have been doing well. Please reach out anytime! -Julie (team member)
