Anyone having issues with your gallbladder?
I have Chron's and stage 3 NASH. I’ve been taking Rezdiffra by prescription since 2/25. I participated in the study for 5 years but do not know if I was on the drug. In 11/24, thought I had food poisoning but kept having diarrhea through 3/25. Testing showed it may have been an IBD flare. Recently had another episode but this time vomiting too. Abdominal pain has been RUQ. Checked gallbladder and found stones, wall is thickened and possibly folded. Being referred to a surgeon. I’ve read having gallbladder removed may worsen NASH due to added stress on the liver regulating bile and could have continued digestion issues with diarrhea. Has anyone had gallbladder attacks, gallbladder removed? How did you feel after surgery? Did your NASH get any worse?
I have an appointment scheduled with the surgeon in August. If surgery is suggested, I will write my liver doctor to ask. Just curious if anyone with NASH had their gallbladder removed and experienced problems afterwards. Thanks. Mary Jo
